Cédric has the idea for Lizia
Cédric sleeps on his side and struggles to hold his book open. To solve his own problem, he designs and 3D-prints a small object. That is how Lizia was born.

The Lizia trademark is filed
After more than 200 prototypes, Lizia becomes a registered trademark. The project takes on a new scale — the serious chapter begins.

Our first competition, our first funding
We win a competition and secure the funding to keep developing the project. A patent is filed to protect the invention.

The Ulule crowdfunding campaign
We launch a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule. The response is immediate: more than 3,800 pre-orders in a few weeks.

First trade show, first eye-to-eye
At the Made in France trade show, the team wins over more than 500 visitors in four days. First show — not the last.

Back to Made in France
Second edition of MIF for Lizia. The audience grows; so do the conversations.

Paris Book Festival
Lizia exhibits at the Festival du Livre de Paris. Memorable encounters along the way: Emmanuel Macron, Rachida Dati, Amélie Nothomb, Marc Lévy. The reading lamp earns its place in the world of books.

Lizia takes part in the Foire de Paris in the Lépine out-of-competition section. Another step in the recognition of the product.

Ulule launch — James The Book Game
A book-shaped board game, made in France — in Vendée, Rennes and the Côtes-d'Armor — from recycled plastic. The pre-order campaign goes live on Ulule.

Foire de Paris — twin Lépine entry
Lizia returns to the Foire de Paris in the Lépine out-of-competition section with the lamp, and enters the official Concours Lépine with James The Book Game — which takes home the bronze medal.
